In Brazil, the main raw material used by the textile industry is cotton, with a total installed capacity surpassing 900 thousand tons per year. Through sophisticated and modern planting, harvesting and ginning processes, the cotton becomes the raw material which will be processed and transformed into cotton yarn, which in turn, is used by the weaving and knitting mills to complete the productive chain up to the garment industry.
